Thread: Google Docs Input plugin?

    Default Google Docs Input plugin?

    Hi All,

I was doing some work with Google Docs, and thought it would be cool to have a Input plugin for PDI/Kettle. Low and behold I find this: http://wiki.pentaho.com/display/EAI/Google+Docs+Input

However, I can't find the plugin on the FTP site, and it isn't listed on the Plugin index here http://wiki.pentaho.com/display/EAI/...ation+Plug-Ins either.

Is this plugin being actively maintained? Any chance of it making its way into a future release as a official input method?

    Hi,

    are you using PDI EE?
There is a note on the Google-Docs Plugin:
Note: The Google Docs plug-in is available to Pentaho enterprise customers only. The plug-in can be downloaded from the Pentaho FTP site and must be installed in your ...\plugins\steps directory.

The second link looks like the list of "free" community-created plugins... this would be an explanation why there is no word about the Google-Docs Plugin

    Cheers,

    Tom

Ah! I had skimmed the page, and I completely missed that this was only for Enterprise customers, and not the broader community. Oh well! My bad
