Thread: jdbc.properties escape character?

    Default jdbc.properties escape character?

    Hi everyone,

I recently tried to set up a new JNDI db connection. The password I was trying to use ended in the # character. It didn't work, I suppose because this might be treated as a special character in the properties file? I have now changed the password and everything works... but I still would like to know how it would have worked. Is there an escape character?

(The same connection did work on the BI server where the password is stored in a database instead of in a properties file.)

    Cheers,

    Hi there,

the java docs seem to say that # should be encoded as \# (otherwise it starts a comment)

    Cheers
