Default Same physical column- different logical names

    Hi,

I have two business models that use the same physical table. But to the end user, the logical name is different in each model

    Example
    PT_A (Physical Table)
    Column-> Name
    Model1
    BT_A (Business Table)
Column Name should be called Square Name
    Model2
    BT_A(Business Table)
Column Name should be called Triangle Name

How can this be achieved? I see that I can import a physical table only once into a domain and column name changes are permitted only in the physical table.

    Thanks,
    MA

    Default Problem Solved

If anyone else needs to know how to do this, the physical table can be modified to add new columns.
So for PT_A if the actual physical column is name and you need two business columns with names "Triangle Name" and "Square Name" add these two as new physical columns. For each of these column, specify the data type in the "Data Type" property for the column and for the property "Field Type" enter Formula value as the name of the physical column(in this case name).
So now you have two physical columns which map to the same database column but when you create a new business table with this physical table, you have the option to use whichever column makes sense for that particular model.

    Thanks,
    Malathi
