    Default password obfuscation issue in VFS

    When I use password obfuscation (password encrypted use Kettle "Encr") in VFS for example

    SFTP://${userName}:${PWD}@${host}/${folder} kettle fails with "Unable to get VFS File object for filename"

    Any idea ?

    Check with your server admin and see if they can set you up with SSH Keys.
    You can specify the passphrase for the key in the same place you set your other SFTP Options

    Your URI would then become sftp://user@host/directory/file.ext

    you mean I need to use something like this

    vfs.sftp.authkeypassphrase = ${password} and password is encrypted and set in kettle.properties.

    you'll need two entries:

    vfs.sftp.identity = /full/path/to/SSHIdentityfile
    vfs.sftp.authkeypassphrase = passphrase_to_unlock_SSHIdentityFile
