    Default XMLA response from Mondrian does not recognize CaptionColumn

    Hii

    We have implemented our BI stack using Mondrian and I have got stuck in a strange problem.

    Since we are bringing in the concept of Fiscal calendars, we would like to have all our queries hit the year, quarter, month and week numbers but the display caption should be the labels. For this purpose, we have designed our schema in the following fashion -
    Code:
    <Dimension type = "TimeDimension" name = "Time">
          <Hierarchy hasAll = "true" primaryKey = "DIM_TIME_ID">
            <Table name = "DIM_TIME" />
            <Level name = "FiscalId" column = "FISCAL_ID" type = "Numeric" levelType = "TimeUndefined"/>
            <Level name = "Year" column = "YEARNUMBER" type = "Numeric" uniqueMembers = "false" levelType = "TimeYears" ordinalColumn="YEARNUMBER" captionColumn = "YEARNAME"/>
            <Level name = "Quarter" column = "QUARTERNUMBER" type = "Numeric" uniqueMembers = "false" levelType = "TimeQuarters" ordinalColumn="QUARTERNUMBER" captionColumn = "QUARTERNAME" />
            <Level name = "Month" column = "MONTHNUMBER" type = "Numeric" uniqueMembers = "false" levelType = "TimeMonths" ordinalColumn="MONTHNUMBER" captionColumn = "MONTHNAME" />
            <Level name = "Day" column = "DAYNUMBER" type = "Numeric" uniqueMembers = "false" levelType = "TimeDays" />
          </Hierarchy>
          <Hierarchy name="Time Weekly" hasAll = "true" primaryKey = "DIM_TIME_ID">
            <Table name = "DIM_TIME" />
            <Level name = "FiscalId" column = "FISCAL_ID" type = "Numeric" levelType = "TimeUndefined"/>
            <Level name = "Year" column = "YEARNUMBER" type = "Numeric" uniqueMembers = "false" levelType = "TimeYears" ordinalColumn="YEARNUMBER" captionColumn = "YEARNAME"/>
            <Level name = "Week" column = "WEEKNUMBER" type = "Numeric" uniqueMembers = "false" levelType = "TimeWeeks" ordinalColumn="WEEKNUMBER" captionColumn = "WEEKNAME" />
            <Level name = "Day" column = "DAYNUMBER" type = "Numeric" uniqueMembers = "false" levelType = "TimeDays" />
          </Hierarchy>
      </Dimension>
    MDX Query Sample

    Code:
    select Crossjoin({[Measures].[Quantity]}, {[Time].[0].[2011].[1]}) ON COLUMNS,
      {[Reseller].[All Resellers]} ON ROWS
    from [Sales]
    [Time].[0].[2011].[1] - Means for Fiscal ID - 0, Year - 2011, and Q1.

    JPivot Output - 2011 Quarter1 for time axis
    XMLA Output - 2011 1 f for time axis

    We are currently using XMLA to query the cube but where we have got stuck is the problem that the result output from JPivot shows - 2011 Quarter 1, 2011 Quarter 2 etc but XMLA response shows 1,2 etc. The caption columns are not getting returned as a result from XMLA. While googling I hit a page describing kind of similar issue - http://jira.pentaho.com/browse/MONDR...nel#issue-tabs

    We are currently running on Mondrian 3.2.0 and the latest release is 3.2.1.13885. But I belive the fix for this is not there in the latest release too since the fix for the above Jira Issue went only on June 16(I am assuming by seeing the above ticket). We are in midst of a very critical release and this needs to be rolled out to the clients.

    Please suggest what options do I have.
