    Default Filter

    Hi,

I have replicated some tables, ie I "copied" with kettle of tables from one database to another.
Is it possible with kettle set a search filter in order to move only the info that concern months before n (n editable)?

    thanks

I take it you used the Wizard to let Spoon create the jobs for you?

    Sure.

The lazy way is to add an 'Filter Rows' to the stream in your transformation.
It reads all rows and writes some.
I imagine you want to set the filter-condition by an job-parameter or a variable

You could also edit the Table Input query to add your conditions to the 'select * from ...' statement.
This reads less rows from your source to begin with.

What do you mean by: "I take it you used the Wizard to let Spoon create the jobs for you"?

In Spoon, in the Main menu -> Tools -> Wizard -> ~ Copy tables (Ctrl-F10) there's a wizard that lets you select a source and destination database, and then let's you select which tables to copy.

It will generate Kettle Jobs and Transformations to create and copy tables from one database to another, pretty neat stuff...
