Default How to parse this particular text file

    Hi:

This isn't a delimited or xml file, just a big text file.

In this text file there will be hundreds of instances of this text occurring:

    ID1<tab><some hex id><carriage return>
    ID2<tab><some numeric id><carriage return>

I need to correlate ID1 and ID2 so they end up in a table together.

    ID1 ID2
    006601f88349926a 40998333
    006601f88349823f 23343856
    etc.

How exactly would I accomplish this in Pentaho?

I'm not sure, but I think that the Row Normaliser step could work.

It's the Row Denormalizer step that will do the job, after a calculation to mark the grouping.

Thanks, actually found using an analytic query worked for me.
