    Default Problems when passing 'ñ' as parameter

    Hi everyone,

    I have a problem when passing 'ñ' caracter ass a parameter from java code. What I do is the following.

    trans.setParameterValue ("tipo", "'CAMPAÑA', 'CAMPAÑA RSVA'");

    Then, I use this parameter in a Database Input step, but what I'm getting is this:

    v.tipo in ('CAMPA?A', 'CAMPA?A RSVA')

    Do I have to add any configuration in order to get it work with Pentaho?

    Any help will be apreciated.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your answer jortilles. I found a solution here:

    http://wiki.pentaho.com/display/EAI/.07+Variables

    What you need is to pass the hexademical ASCII code of the special characters. I have modified my code and instead of passing this:

    trans.setParameterValue ("tipo", "'CAMPAÑA', 'CAMPAÑA RSVA'");
    I have written this and works ok:

    trans.setParameterValue ("tipo", "'CAMPA$[D1]A', 'CAMPA$[D1]A RSVA'");
