Default MS SQL 2008 access via VPN and jTDS

    Hi

I create a transformation that reads information from a MS SQL 2008 instance accessed via VPN.

When I run the transformation via Spoon everything works fine, but when I schedule it using Pan I get the error:

    Code:
    ERROR 25-11 10:28:21,335 - tb_import - An error cause this step to stop: org.pentaho.di.core.exception.KettleDatabaseException:
Error occured while trying to connect to the database

Error connecting to database: (using class net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver)
Unable to get information from SQL Server: 192.168.1.200.
Has anyone had the same problem and managed to solve it?

    Info:

    OpenSUSE 11
    Kettle 4.1

    Hi,

how did you schedule the transformation? Is the access via VPN somehow restricted to the environment of the user who is running spoon?
So maybe su'ing to the user and verifying the VPN connection might help?

    Cheers,

    Tom
