    Default BI Server 3.7 - 3.10 for MySQL, problems with quartz JNDI

    I followed Prashant Raju tutorial to congigure BI Server 3.7 (later 3.10) for MySQL, but got stuck with the Quartz configuration.

    I found that I have to modify \pentaho-solutions\system\quartz\quartz.properties as follows:

    Code:
    org.quartz.dataSource.quartz.driver = com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
    org.quartz.dataSource.quartz.URL = jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/quartz
    org.quartz.dataSource.quartz.user = pentaho_user
    org.quartz.dataSource.quartz.password = password
    org.quartz.dataSource.quartz.maxConnections = 10
    org.quartz.dataSource.quartz.validationQuery= select 1
    This doesn't work, BI server startup fails because it could not find JNDI named "Quartz"
    Code:
    org.quartz.dataSource.quartz.jndiURL = jdbc/Quartz
    The weird thing is that BI Server had not problem finding JNDI entry "jdbc/Hibernate" defined similarly in context.xml.

    Any idea about this?

    Cheers,
    Chut

    Hi,

    i think i found a solution:
    http://danielrabelo.wordpress.com/20...ndows-e-linux/

    it's portuguese but it points in the right direction:
    keep the myDS connection and alter the connection properties

    Regards,
    Mark
