    Default Fact Table

    Hi,

    I've a a doubt: I've a query (the image is in attachments).

the fact table should be SKINF, but into the schema how to represent the tables that are not directly linked from SKINF (COMUNI, DISTRETTI and ZONE)?

    Hi,
Pentaho works with the "star Schema" and not with snowflake. In Schema workbench you can only JOIN two tables, but in your case you have more than two. There are two ways to define in schema workbench:
1- Create only one denormalized table with the five tables that have relation (direct or indirect) whit the Fact table (Cartella, Anagra_c, Comuni, Distretti, Zone) and use it in Workbench
2- Create a View in your database with the JOIN of the five tables and use it.

    Bye,

    Marcos

Then, with Spoon of Kettle I create a table with the fileds of CARTELLA, ANAGRA_C, COMUNI, DISTRETTI and ZONE (by inserting only the fields that interest me).
Then I use this new table in schema workbench.
    Is It correct?

Pentaho works also with a snowflake. For some documentation on that see : http://mondrian.pentaho.com/document...p#Star_schemas
In the foodmart.xml there are also some examples of that.
