Thread: Need to restart server for Saiku to see amended cube.

  1. #1

Default Need to restart server for Saiku to see amended cube.

I find that, after creating a new cubes/amending an existing one and publishing, I always need to restart bi-server in order to see the changes in Saiku. However, the cubes are visible in Analysis View without the restart.

Is there any way of avoiding the restart? (I'm new to cubes/saiku so have to amend my cubes alot and restarting just takes up extra time).

    Thanks for any advice.

Saiku is an external plugin, not embedded by default on Pentaho. Older versions of Saiku had this problem, its repositories were not affected when refreshing the cache.
I recommend searching for the CTools Installer and make a fresh install for the CTools and include Saiku's latest version that solves this problem.

For further doubts refer to , they made Saiku.

    Best regards,

I have just perfomed a fresh Ctools install....

    Downloading CDF... Done
    Downloading CDA... Done
    Downloading CDE... Done
    Downloading CGG... Done
    Downloading Saiku... Done

Saiku version is now 2.2, but I am still having the same issue. i.e. refresh Repository Cache and refresh Mondrian Schema Cache does not update (some or all of) the Saiku repositories so I still have to restart pentaho for my schema workbench changes to appear in Saiku.

Is there something else I need to do or do I just live with it for now?
