    Default Only able to connect from localhost. Ubunto install.

    Guys I'm stuck.

    I setup ubuntu and pentaho. I can connect from localhost but I am unable to connect from any other machine.

    Clues:
    the browser times out. So it's just hitting a dead end.
    I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to setting up tomcat so I suspect that's where the configuration lies.

    I did edit the web.xml file and try a few things like that then rebooted the machine and restarted pentaho. No luck.

    Netstat shows:
    Name:  Capture.jpg
Views: 28
Size:  14.5 KB

    Thanks!

    Default

    Solved.
    server.xml = defaultHost="localhost"
    /pentaho/biserver-ce/tomcat/webapps/pentaho/WEB-INF/web.xml : fully-qualified-server-url and base-url = http://ip.address.of.machine:808/pentaho/

    I think that's it.
