    Default JNDI - jdbc.properties bug

    Hi all:

If you are using a jdbc.properties, and your password has an '#'. JNDI Conection doesn't work.
    You recieve an invalid username/password.

I think that this bug is due to java ResourceBundle class, it's using '#' for using comments at *.properties

    DW_OWNER/type=javax.sql.DataSource
    DW_OWNER/driver=oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver
    DW_OWNER/url=jdbc: oracle:thin:@110.126.9.15:1521:MYDB
    DW_OWNER/user=DW_OWNER
    DW_OWNER/password=pass#01word

So... don't use password with '#' -> use a Native Connection or similar.
All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost...

    Hi,

did you try escaping the #?
    Like this:
    DW_OWNER/password=pass\#01word

    Cheers,

    Tom
