You can use JAAS to set up your own authentication system.
The JAAS User Realm is called "Kettle" and you need to specify system variables : java.security.auth.login.config and loginmodulename (containing the login module name).

I haven't understood the procedure you have explained.

    Could you make an example?

    Thanks

No I can't, you'll have to do your own research.

As Carte Official documentation stands HTTP Basic Auth or JAAS could be used to control access to web services.

But, is there any way to disable the authentication for debugging purposes? I've tried clearing the credentials in pwd/kettle.pwd file with no success: it stills asking for credentials.

    Thanks
