    Question how to set encoding as UTF8 in Pentaho report designer

    I am using PRD - 3.6.1

    I am trying localize report in HTML. When i am FILE-- Export -- HTML Document then HTML report shows ????? nothing display.

    I want set encoding as UTF-8. By default PRD takes in html report encoding is Cp1252

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Cp1252"?>

    Any one know how to set charset as UTF-8 for HTML report.

    You can set the encoding either in the report configuration or you can locate the "font-encoding" style on your master report and set the encoding there.

    However, you must also make sure that your font actually supports the characters you want to display. Not all fonts have all characters.

    Dear Taqua,

    When I am going to FILE --- Preview as --- HTML then data display in marathi language. no issue occur.

    As you suggested changes I have tried but same issue occur while export report in HTML (FILE-- Export -- HTML Document).

    I have done changes in Format-- advance font setting -- encoding as UTF -8
    also changes done in configuration but same issue occur.

    I think might be bug in PRD 3.6.1
